Annual PTA General Body Meeting & Merit Day

On July 13, 2024, Don Bosco Central School, Mannuthy, hosted its annual PTA General Body Meeting and Merit Day celebration with great zeal and participation. The event marked a significant occasion for the school community, bringing together parents, teachers, and students to discuss important matters and celebrate student achievements. The meeting commenced at 2:00 PM. Dr. Anto Chirammel, the PTA President, delivered the Presidential Address in which he highlighted the importance of a strong parent-teacher partnership in nurturing the students’ overall development.

            The Merit Day celebration followed the Manager’s Address by Rev. Fr. Thomas Koonan SDB, where the outstanding achievements of the students were recognized. The dignitaries honored the Grade 1 holders with cash awards and trophies. This moment of recognition was a proud occasion for the students and their parents, celebrating their hard work and dedication throughout the year. Mrs. Letty Anto, the PTA Joint Secretary, presented the Annual Report which provided a comprehensive overview of the various activities, achievements, improvements as well as the PTA’s efforts in enhancing school infrastructure, organizing events, and supporting students’ academic and extracurricular pursuits were duly acknowledged.

            Followed by the report presentation, Dr. Daison Panengaden, the Chief Guest, an esteemed writer, orator, and career expert delivered the Keynote Address. A special highlight was the one-hour session led by the Chief Guest that captivated the audience with his insightful talk on the growth and development of families and children. His session focused on the importance of holistic development, emphasizing the role of parents and educators in fostering a nurturing environment for the young minds to thrive. As a token of appreciation, Dr. Daison Panengaden, was honored with a memento by the Rev. Fr. Thomas Koonan SDB. The event concluded with an inspiring address by Rev. Fr. Shino Kalapurackal SDB, Principal. He congratulated the students for their remarkable achievements and also thanked the parents and teachers for their resolute support and dedication to the school’s mission.
