Independence Day Celebration

The Independence Day celebration at our school was held on 14 August, 2024, and was marked by a series of impactful and patriotic events that honoured our nation’s spirit and history. The event began with a solemn prayer by the school choir, invoking blessings and peace for the occasion. Fr. Jithin Chakkimangalath, Vice Principal, delivered a warm welcome to all present. His address set the tone for the celebration, emphasizing the importance of commemorating our nation’s independence. Rev. Fr. Thomas Koonan, Rector and Manager, gave the presidential address. He spoke about the significance of Independence Day, reflecting on the sacrifices made for freedom and urging everyone to value and uphold the principles of liberty and unity. The inaugural address was given by Mr. K. M. Antony, IPS (Retired SP, Thrissur). His speech was both inspiring and thought-provoking, highlighting the journey of our nation and the role of citizens in shaping its future.

            The Bosconians delivered a moving performance titled “The Voice of Freedom,” which resonated deeply with the audience, capturing the essence of patriotism and national pride. Ameya Beatrice of Class V A delivered a heartfelt patriotic speech. Her words were a tribute to the freedom fighters and an appeal to the younger generation to cherish and protect the freedoms we enjoy. The event featured a captivating dance performance titled “Rise of the Nation,” also by Bosconians. The performance was a vibrant expression of national pride and unity, showcasing the students’ talent and enthusiasm. Christine Ann Anoop of Class IX A concluded the event with a vote of thanks. She expressed gratitude to all the guests, performers, and participants, acknowledging their efforts in making the Independence Day celebration memorable. The celebration successfully fostered a sense of national pride and unity, paying tribute to the spirit of independence and the contributions of those who have shaped our nation.
